Our Stroll Around Trastevere with Paolo from Italiaidea — Rome
Storia, arte, cultura, artigiani, cibo.
On Saturday, December 12, Sentieri teachers and students took a virtual stroll around the ancient neighborhood of Trastevere with Paolo Bultrini of Italiaidea – Rome. We were accompanied by the neighborhood’s famous people — artists and aristocrats but also its working-class people. We were immersed in Trastevere’s narrow streets, searching for its hidden treasures: history, art, culture, artisans and, last but not least, its food.
Presented in Partnership with Italiaidea Rome
This was the first of four artistic and literary itineraries exploring Rome in the words and images of the past. Our first itinerary took us to the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome. Located on the west side of the Tiber just south of Vatican City, Trastevere is the go-to-spot if you wish to have a glimpse of the old days of the people of Rome.
