This book is his attempt to describe to Italians what life in the U.S. is like.
His writing style is lively and entertaining and he has some nice insights into the American character.

Un Italiano in America  •  Beppe Severgnini

From their first encounters with cryptic rental listings to their back-to-Europe yard sale 12 months later, Beppe explores this foreign country, holding up a mirror to America’s signature manners and mores. Succumbing to his surroundings day by day, he and his wife eventually find themselves developing a taste for Klondike bars and Samuel Adams beer — and even enjoying dining at the local pancake house.
