Come join Sentieri Italiani for the book launch of Father of Route 66: The Story of Cy Avery. Award-winning author Susan Croce Kelly presents the first in-depth exploration of Cy Avery’s life and impact on the American movement to build better roads across America. Avery was a highway promoter who played a major role in the layout and designation of Route 66, and his efforts turned the highway into a world-wide icon. Route 66 is so famous it is even featured in Italy’s National Automobile Museum in Torino!
The event will be hosted at Sentieri with an aperitivo.
