Ferzan Ozpetek

Blog_OzpetekFerzan Ozpetek was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1959. Later on he moved to Rome to study Cinema History.

As he became an Italian citizen, he began to direct many captivating Italian movies.  So far, he has won many awards for best direction and best film such as the David di Donatello Award and the Scholars Jury Award.

His recent film Allacciate le cinture is definitely a continuation of his work.   This dramatic comedy targets many aspects of a loving relationship with the addition of several unexpected events and twists that will be sure to make you want to fasten your seat belt as you watch this film, just as Ozpetek intended:

“The title refers to the fact that sometimes in life, sooner or later, everything happens turbulently, exactly like in an airplane: a big moment touches you and you need to fasten your seat belt.”
