Italian Idiom: “Le ore del mattino hanno l’oro in bocca”

Are you often late (in ritardo)?  Or are you always on time (in orario)?

Well, if you’re instead a person who is always early (in anticipo), you may want to learn how to say “the early bird gets the worm” in italiano.  It’s actually quite different, literally meaning “ the morning hours put gold in your mouth” –  “le ore del mattino hanno l’oro in bocca”.

And for all you early birds out there, there is a $20 discount on the 2015 Winter Quarter Italian classes at Sentieri from now until October 15th.  So sign up now and save because, as we say in Italia, le ore del mattino hanno l’oro in bocca!
